Anyway, I was invited to try their new menu on their launch day, and I took my favourite companion with me to try some of their bomb burgers and give you my thoughts.
Let’s talk about it.
I’m not going to start describing Almost Famous to you, because I’m sure you’re not here for that. You’re here for the burgers, but let’s put pause to that thought for a second. I’m also here for the fries. Especially if we’re talking about waffle fries.
Apart from their well-loved loaded fries (from bacon bacon fries, phoenix fries, and so on), they now have these incredibly delicious waffle fries on their menu, and I’m all about waffle fries (and curly fries, if you don’t believe me, read about my favourite loaded fries here).
These were incredibly crispy and delicious, and the amount of cheese and bacon made them just perfect to me. I’d go back just to have more of these. That’s how good they were.
Now, for the burgers…
I know this Guy Ritchie burger is on their Northern Quarter menu, but now they have it at their GN location too and I thought it was the perfect opportunity for me to try it.
My first thought when I grabbed this beauty was ‘oh wow, this steak looks just how I like it’, which is medium rare. I think that, if you’re bringing more meat to the mix, it has to be done the right way, and Almost Famous definitely knows how to do it.
The amount of seasoned sauces make this my ideal burger, specially because of the smoked flavour the smoky bacon ketchup brings to the table. Every bite was madness with tons of deliciousness, and I cannot wait to do it again!
If you’re a meat lover, or just want to try something delicious with lots of flavour, Guy Ritchie is your guy for the night 😉
This beauty is called ‘This is Manchester’ and it’s just as delicious and chaotic as this city can be (specially on a weekend night!). G ordered this one and he loved every single bite of it.
He shared a bit with me (just for research purposes, of course!) and I cannot even tell you how much I loved having some gravy chips between the patty and the bread. The seasoned sauces always bring great flavour to the table (or to the burger, in this case) but the BBQ pulled pork and gravy chips were the stars for me.
Unlike the Guy Ritchie, this burger is only available at their Great Northern location, so if you want to have some BBQ pulled pork goodness, definitely pay them a visit ASAP! I’d give it a 12 out of 10, and would definitely recommend it, specially if you’re looking for something incredibly unique (which I assume you are, because Almost Famous isn’t like any other place I’ve seen in town!).
After two ginormous burgers and some pretty bomb loaded waffle fries, I didn’t have any room for dessert (I still need to try their Nutella fries available in their Northern Quarter restaurant!) so I’ll leave that for next time, but I trust this information is enough reason for you to pay Almost Famous Great Northern a visit and check out their latest additions to the menu (if you love the Unfairground and their DTF burger, I’ve got good news for you!).
That’s it for today, guys! I hope you enjoy your weekend, and maybe include some bomb burgers on your plans for tonight. I’m sure you won’t regret it.

If you want more options for your Saturday night plans, definitely check out my Albatross & Arnold review, it’s completely different from Almost Famous but worth a try if you’re in for some cocktails and small plates!
